Dog training should be joyful for people and their dogs, especially when it comes to sports. I love helping handlers figure out what motivates their dogs best and using that to make the most of their training sessions. I am committed to staying educated on the most current and effective, science-based methods for training dogs and sharing them with my students. My ambition is to welcome new teams to the dog sport community, and coach existing dog sport participants toward their personal goals.
"Love the dog first and the sport second."

Certified Nose Work Instructor
Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Knowledge Assessed
As a former pet care professional and a dog sport competitor for over a decade, Kaylee was eager to share her experience in conformation, obedience, and sport dog training through teaching. To prepare for group class instruction, she spent over a year assisting Janey Wilcox, CNWI, with her evening nosework classes. During this time, she witnessed the benefits of nosework firsthand—not only in Janey's students, but also in her own dogs, whom she began training concurrently at home.
Determined to learn by doing, Kaylee quickly began competing with her most resilient dog, a now 14-year-old Bearded Collie mix named Fenway, who has been obsessed with his new "job" ever since. Kaylee immediately recognized the value of nosework training for all types of dogs and felt inspired to make this accessible sport available to more people in the greater Seattle area.
In 2024, she founded Fenway Bark, LLC, offering Intro to Nosework classes and Sniff-N-Go practice events. She earned her CNWI and CPDT-KA certifications in May 2025 and now coaches approximately 50 students each week. Kaylee especially enjoys working with sensitive teams and helping more experienced teams troubleshoot challenges. She loves incorporating creativity and competitive elements into her curriculum, and takes great pride in helping teams achieve their goals in K9 Nose Work®.
