"Conformation" is the official term for dog shows. In conformation, intact, purebred dogs are judged against their written breed standard. Judges consider structure, temperament, condition, and overall appearance when deciding how well each dog conforms to their standard. While having a sound dog is a great place to start, there are many controllable factors that contribute to success in the show ring. Come check out our offerings of conformation handling classes and learn how to show your dog to their full potential.

Drop-In Conformation Handling

A one-hour, small-group handling class for teams showing in the conformation breed ring who would like some extra practice and coaching. A "mock show" environment where we will proof and improve upon your existing conformation skills. Each class will be tailored to the skills that students would like to focus on, but we will practice show ring elements including gaiting, stacking, table and floor presentation, etc., and discuss how to make ring work comfortable, fun, and flashy. Appropriate for both puppies just starting to learn about showing and for experienced teams wanting to improve or enhance their performance.

Prerequisites: a working knowledge of conformation or instructor permission.
